Gun Men Attack Rivers Newspaper House

Five armed men attacked the Rivers Newspapers Company the publishers of the Tide Newspapers earlier today

The gun men, whom sources said stormed the newspaper house at about 1 am earlier today, seemed to have acted on wrong information considering that they couldn’t that they couldn’t get any meaningful item from the workers.

Men of the Nigerian police, who got information of the attack, stormed the newspaper complex killing two of the armed robbers while three others escaped.

This actually did not come without a cost as one of the police officers was gunned down by the robbers.

As at the time of filing this report, no other arrest had been made.

This is not the first of such robbery attacks in the news house according to some staff of The Tide news house who wanted to remain anonymous.

He said they have called on the government to do more to protect them from the activities of criminal elements in the area.
