Eastern Institute for Integrated Learning in Management (EIILM), Kolkata begins a new Journey
Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), West Bengal has decided to run another off-campus centre at the Eastern Institute for Integrated Learning in Management, Kolkata (EIILM) having its campus at Vishnu Tower, DN-14, Sector-V, Salt Lake City, Kolkata-700091. With this objective in view MAKAUT, WB has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the 16th of November’2019 with EIILM.
MAKAUT aims at overall development of the young generation and enhance their employability. It is in the process of opening a number of off-campuses to give an opportunity to the students to enroll in a number of in-house courses of MAKAUT.
The Regular Full Time Programs for which this MoU is signed are to be known as--
Bachelor Degree Programs:
a) Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) - Duration 3 Years – Seat Capacity: 120
b) BBA in Hospital Management - Duration 3 Years - Seat Capacity: 100
c) BSC in Hospitality and Hotel Administration - Duration 3 Years - Seat Capacity: 100
d) BSC in Media Science - Duration 3 Years - Seat Capacity: 100
e) Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) – Duration 3 Years – Seat Capacity: 100
f) BBA in Business Analytics - Duration 3 Years – Seat Capacity: 100
Master Degree Programs:
g) Master of Business Administration (MBA) with various specializations: Duration 2 Years – Seat Capacity: 120
h) MBA in Pharmaceutical Management: Duration 2 Years – Seat Capacity: 60
i) Master of Museum Science and Management (MMSM) with Industry Collaboration: Duration 2 Years – Seat Capacity: 60
Diploma Programs:
j) Post Graduate Diploma in Capital Market and Investments (PGDCM&I): Duration 1 Year – Seat Capacity: 60
k) Post Graduate Diploma in Start up Business and Innovation (PGDSB&I) with Industry Collaboration: Duration 1 Year – Seat Capacity: 60
Research Program:
l) Industry Integrated Doctoral Program with Industry Collaboration as per UGC Norms
Certificate Programs:
m) Certification Programs on various domains as per Industry requirement on mutual consultation: Duration 6 Months.
n) Conducting Joint MDPs, FDPs, Consultancy Projects and Incubation in India and Abroad.
These will be joint programs for INDIAN and FOREIGN STUDENTS to be conducted at KOLKATA Campus of EIILM, Kolkata (for theoretical classes as well as for Practical Classes as well as On-the-Job training and corresponding Industrial Exposure Training) . The following terms and conditions:
The entry level qualification the Bachelor Degree Courses will be successful completion of Higher Secondary Exam (10+2 level) from any recognized Indian School board or its equivalent elsewhere in the world, and for Post Graduate Degree and Diploma Program the entry level qualification will be Bachelor Degree in relevant field from any recognized University.
EIILM, Kolkata will be responsible for taking care of the Admission Procedure, but the detailed syllabus of the course will be worked out by MAKAUT. The Evaluation of Performance (written examination and continuous assessments including practical examination) will be done by MAKAUT.
EIILM, Kolkata will be providing Resource Person/ Faculty member support along with Laboratory facility, subject to the requirements agreed upon by both EIILM and MAKAUT. Moreover, EIILM, Kolkata will be providing the space for classrooms/laboratories and shall arrange for all equipments, hardware and software required for running the course.
The degree will be awarded by MAKAUT and diploma and certificate programs will be awarded jointly by MAKAUT and EIILM, Kolkata.
EIILM, Kolkata will take initiatives about placement assistance for successful students.
MAKAUT will have the exclusive right to inspect the teaching-learning, infrastructure facilities from time to time and take appropriate steps for corrections in case of any deviation or irregularities as it deems fit.Any dispute arising within the purview of this MoU will be sorted out on mutual discussion failing which the decision of the Vice Chancellor will be final and binding on all parties.
