St. George's Forane Church (Syro-Malabar), Edapally, Ernakulam (Church No: 46) The earliest (1720s) documented lists of the Ezharapallikal (Seven & Half Churches) record Irapeli or Repolym as one of the candidates, which is usually identified as Erattupetta (Aruvithura) or Edapally. Interestingly, the Edapally church estimates their foundation from early or late 6th century only (510 or 593 AD)! The labels in the Edapally photograph mark the churches from various periods, which according to them were established in 593 AD (1), 1086 AD (2) and 2015 (3).
